Both EU and third-country citizens need a residence and work permit to live and work in Greenland.
Only Danish citizens are exempt from the requirement for residence and work permits and may freely travel to Greenland and take up employment without a permit.
If you are not planning to work, it is also possible to obtain a residence permit based on studies, an internship, or as an accompanying family member of a worker.
